Langkawi Trip

Date: 11-13 January 2007

Langkawi was fun or what?? I had a blast!! With my bF by my side and my sistas and brothas with me... sigh...

We stayed in Langkasuka. The room is huge! Suppose to be a deluxe bed room, but we had one deluxe and another single bed instead! And the bathroom, one shower room and another big bathtub... No complains on the room, except no carpet... alaa aku tak suka la hotel takde carpet nih... sejuk... tapi takpe gak, coz bilik dia ada aircond and kipas!! So kitorang mmg tido ngan kipas je la.. hihihihi sejukkk.... Another thing I like about Langkasuka is the swimming pool. It looks more like a lake/pond la... klorin pun tak rasa.. alaahaiii... nak rendam lagi.... Buttt...... the breakfast wasn't my favourite la. Food not fresh, service poor... I kept eating breakfast cereal, coz I found that to be the most delicious... hehehe... ngada lar...

Ok, other highlights at Langkawi (which we managed lar..) was the Island Hopping, where we stopped at Beras Basah and mandi-manda tak hingat dunia. Air dia, mak aih.. jernihnyeeerrr.... Later, we went to feed the eagles... lotsa lotsa eagles!!! I've never seen eagles flew in front of me that close before... I can say that was one of the greatest experience I had lar... dah la aku suka helang. Then later, to Pulau Dayang Bunting, ada lake kat sana.. air dia fresh nak mampos k.... tapi kitorang takut nak mandi coz takde pegawai incharge and it looked so deep. Mana tau ada monster nak ngap, sape nak tolong? hehehehe.. so main2 air gitu2 je la. Ikutkan hati mmg nak terjun aje!

Mana lagi ek pegi, sori la maleh nak elaborate, sbb terngiang2 masalah kat opis nih.

Ok back to Langkawi, malam tu kitorang makan kat this Restoran Aliah, seafood la nih... pergh sedap tak terkata. Murah pun murah. Kita pilih seafood apa kita nak patu dia masak la, cam biasa. Tapi sbb udang dia besar2 and ketam2 dia gemok2... hehehehe tu yg buat I mmg suka tambah kolestrol... kolestrol i lap u but i hate u...

Malam tu nak main daun terup, tapi sumer tak larat. Tapi bF yg comel ni bleh plak ajar I camne nak tilik nasib dalam percintaan pakai daun terup! kahkahkahkah... apasal comel sangat you nihhh?? Siap ada jalan cerita lak tu sambil menilik and bukak daun!! hahahahha... entertaining betul! Patu tiap kali reveal the prediction tu, sure cakap "kurafat.. kurafatt... syirikk nihhh..." tapi sambung tilik balik! kahkahkah... you make me love you more la bee... suka buat I gelak je... Haa.. layan la tilik tu sampai kul 4pagi... patu pengsan.

Next day, pagi2 berendam kat pool sampai tgh hari... it was Friday so kita rehat utk Solat Jumaat la kan... Later, we went to this Temurun Falls, tapi takde apa2 yang fall la. Apsal tah air terjun dia kering. Beruk2 kat sana pun lama tak makan junk food sampai dia ikut je bF aku tu ke hulu ke hilir sbb ternampak bF kuarkan plastik, padahal rokok... apa la beruk ni... beruk tul. It was frustrating to see the waterfall dry. I dah terbayang berendam kat dlm air yg sejuk dan tak masin, patu lepak tepi mkn sate jelly fish.. pergh... i'm more of a sungai person before... tapi lama-kelamaan aku rasa aku suka lagi la mandi laut, cuma kalau ada jelly fish mmg aku benci lar!

Speaking of that, since the Temurun Falls takde apa2 yang nak di'fall'kan, kitorang berenam terus ke arah Pantai Tengkorak, sbb masa on da way tu ternampak pantai tu cam cantik dan putih. Sampai2 je Elly and Arab la terjun dulu. Diikuti pula dengan saya dan kekasih hati saya yang memang suka mandi laut. Tapi itu laut kan, macam ada binatang kicik2 bulat2 swimming... I thought it was jelly fish, tapi dia kecik sgt so bF ckp tu bukan jelly fish. Ok la, so berenang lah kita... then lama2 terasa gatal2 badan. First, aku ngan Elly je rasa... patu lama2 dorang pun rasa gatal2. Ok that's it. So kitorang kuar and took our shower. Cis.. skejap jek mandi.

Then we rushed to the Cable Car... Harga ticket is RM25 tapi kalau kita Malaysian dia charge RM15 je. Very de goooooood. Cable Car ride took us 15mins to reach to the top. The view from up there is amazing! And cold! And windy!! Hehehehe... seronoknye la masa tuuuu... patu curi2 isap rokok kat atas kehkehkeh... nak buat jahat gak tu. Kat atas ada cam tempat cafe gak la, tapi aritu tak bukak probably pasal hari Jumaat kan. Tapi sure best giler dpt minum kopi kat atas sana... pergh pergh pergh.

Kitorang lepak sampai la nak tutup tempat tu. Later, we went around Pantai Chenang to shop around. Cam aku ni aku beli benda2 pelik je la, cam rokok yg brand tahpape.. saje nak try sbb packaging dia comel. But not bad gak la rasanyer. Lenkali nak pesan orang belikan la. Kitorang takleh nak shopping sgt sbb tight budget la kan. Anyway, aku ni kan tak reti shopping.

Patu makan kat tempat Aliah again, this time tak amik nasi la. Ratah udang and ketam byk2... slurp! Aku ngan Skin la fight to the last tast drop... orang lain dah lepak isap rokok dah... kitorang makan lagi dan lagi dan lagi... Bukannya mkn byk pun, tau la ketam kan... nak kopek kena teliti.. hhihihihi... sedap betul la... this time mahal sket kitorang makan, RM40 for me and my bF. Udang 10 ekor besar dan gemok, ketam 2 ekor besar, kerang sepinggan penuh, and sayur... ye, kami mmg suka makan sayur. Not bad la kan? Patu makan tepi pantai.. adeh... nikmat dunia.

Balik tu konon nak main pakau la... hmph... hampeh. Sumer pengsan.

Our last day, we checked out early, coz we had to rush to the duty free zone to buy stuffs back. Again aku tader duit, so aku belikan utk mak-mak aku je la. January mmg bulan bankrap aku. Tau tak rokok kat sana mahal??? Tah pape laaaaaa.... aku ngan Elly beli rokok kat airport jek. Lagi murah... Kata duty free.. salah duty free ke kitorang pegi?? Anyway, kitorang lunch pun ala-koboi. Then waited for our flight. This time aku dapat duduk tepi tingkap. Punya la penat aku time tu, masa dah landing kan... aku bleh tertido? Sepanjang2 perjalanan tak tido, masa dah land baru doze off..!! Apa2 aje la.. hahahaha...

I wont forget this trip. Me, bee, Elly, Arab, Skin and Papi... cukup la nak kepohkan Langkawi... hehehehe... I won't mind going again, coz ada tempat lain tak sempat pegi pun... but I want my bee to be by my side larr... sebab dia suka layan I yang ngada-ngada kat sana.. hehehe... (especially tang jelly fish tu... ooo nak kena dia nih...)

Another Birthday...

Malas nak proper2 blogging this time. Coz I'm at my office and I'm sick with everything here. Today bangun siap pikir nak EL jek... tapi... tanak la... mampos pi la. I nak face my problems here. If I have to, I nak maki boss I... dah siap script nih... kihkihkih...

This year, actually I totally forgot about my birthday. On Friday 5th Jan, the whole bunch of us pegi main badminton la. Aku yg tak suka main badminton tetiba dah gian plak... ye la.. dah pandai smash... Tapi still takleh kalahkan Apek and ET... cis... takpeee....

After the game, kitorang pi lepak kat tempat lepak bese kita tu... tah apsal kita selalu pi sana..servis dah la kelamkabut, dah naik harga lak tu!! maybe pasal sisha and tak bising kot... whatever la. I tak ingat langsung pasal bday sampai laaaa alarm hp Fyzal I tu bunyi.. oops kantoi dia.. kehkehkeh.. baru la i cam terpikir "eh bday aku sial! patut la biq pun nak join..." hahahahaha... I guess I forgot about it becoz I told them I tanak celebrate apa2 this year... so jangan la nak saplais2 ek.. tapi knowing my lovely sistas... diorang datanggg jugak jauh2... skin tak main badminton pun buat2 la minat dtg tgk badminton... kahkahkahkahhh.... ingatkan dia bosan dok umah. lenkali jom la mein skalik ekk... muahmuah! yang biq plak bleh salah timing... dtg lambat.. hehehhe... marah dia tak dpt main badminton, lagi2 ami tu...

Maybe I forgot about my bday coz I dah celebrate awal2 ngan my darling Fyzal. Dia ckp dia tak sabar nak celebrate bday ngan I, sbb tak sabar nak sama umur. Ye la, kita pun beza 33 hari jek... cis suka dia yer, sama umur...
He bought me an expensive white-gold necklace with a heart-shaped diamond pendant... i think this is the most expensive gift I've ever received, not that I'm comparing... You spoil me la, bee.... Tapi I suka... hihihihiii.... My bF nih kalau buat apa2 utk I mmg sungguh2 aje... tak pernah kurang, seriously... I rasa kalau ada lautan api pun sanggup dia renangi (amboi, perasannyer aku!) But that's how he makes me feel la... I love him soooo much!

Anyway, my bday wishes this year byk gak... thank you so much guys for the wishessss... ye ye... I dah tua...... . . .. .. . korang pun dah tua gak... hehe..

Patu bday present, bleh plak telepati Biq and Skin tu, beli t-shirt sleeveless... pakat nihhh.... dua2 beli ala2 rock gitu. ye la, skg kan kena berimejkan rocker chic. Dua2 cantik!! Suka sgt!! Patu pandai plak tu pilih kaler feberet aku, hitam and navy green... Predictable sgt aku nih... huhuhu... Elly darling belikan I tiramisu from alexis... sedap nak mampossss!!! Tak pernah rasa tiramisu sesedap tu, ada kacang caramel kat atas and chocolate flakes kat tgh2... slurp......

Cam bese family dinner sama2, since my sis and my dad bday dekat2..6,7,8 january.. And cam bese, kalau dah dinner sama2 tu mcm2 la kan... sbb family I nih mmg born to laugh kot... hahahaha... My dad buat lawak, Aisha ngan Ashraf jgn ckp laa, takleh jumpa... mmg satu gabungan hebat nak buat standup comedy tu...
Patu kitorang dua sibuk tukar2 hadiah, mcm christmas la plak, I bagi you, you bagi I...hehe.. Aisha kalu bagi present kat aku mmg best2 aje. She bought me a swatch! Pandai dia pilih kaler and pattern... Now i dont have to wear the same old executive formal watch everywhere i go... Thank you Shaaaa.... i love it so much!

Itu saja yg berlaku di harijadiku... eh pelancaran tahun melawat mesia was on my bday... wah... grand nyer... tengkiu mesia... oh... lupa nak mention, Arab and I share the same birthdate, but different year la.. he's exactly one year older than me... kira celebrate aritu sama2 la...

Thank you those who messaged and call me to wish me, ramai sgt, sampai dah tak kenal sape call dah... esoknye baru tau sape call... aiseh...

Grave of the Fireflies

Who would have thought I'd see fireflies again? The last time I played around with fireflies was around... hmm... 12 years ago? I'm not all that 'jakun' with fireflies, but it's been awhile. I'm not talking about just 'a' firefly, but a swarm of them (betul ke pakai swarm nih?)...

So my trip to Sekinchan was not a short one. On New Years day, and also 2nd day of Aidiladha, b-Fyzal, ArabElly and I drove all the way to Sekinchan to visit Skin (figured the name?) and her family. We left at around noon, and we reached Sekinchan around 3pm (ye ke?). We were really hungry by the time we got there. At Skin's we had laksa thai, mee tomato, nasi tomato, etc. Mee tomato was delicious!! Kakak's recipe... I had 2 servings... hehehehe... So we chatted, laughed and gossiped.. hahaha... Skin's mom is really cool!!

Later, we wanted to check out Hj Punari's kerepek, but too bad it was closed, maybe due to Hari Raya. So, Skin took us to the seaside. Not the best sight, but the wind really made us high... yea, after the lunch and all... it was real breezy... sigh... Then, later we drove through the paddy fields. Left and right, all green. It was really relaxing. Makes you want to leave KL.

But the one thing that I'll remember most is our trip to the Fireflies Park. It's opened from 8pm-12pm daily and it costs RM10 per entry. Didn't think that the place would be crowded, with foreigners and locals. They took us in a motorboat, and lucky enough our boat was quiet. Not like some where the engines were noisy.

And through the lake we watched the fireflies, thousands and thousands of them, blinking away in the quiet bushes and trees. Behind us were 3 Japanese tourists, and they kept saying "sugoiii neee.... sugoiiii..." and it reminded me so much of Studio Ghibli's Grave of the Fireflies, where I watched with my dear Fyzal and quietly cried by his side (I bet he cried too).

As he held me close and whispered sweet nothings, in the quiet peaceful lake jungle, it's as if the rest of the world just vanished leaving the both of us in a world of our own. I'm sure ArabElly felt the same. I'm not sure about Skin, because she was with Is... hehehehe... As we approached the last few bushes, somehow the fireflies were ready to perform a magnificent show for us... they just simply blinked in synchronize! It was beautiful. And they said fireflies are slowly being extinct. You might see one or two fireflies here and there, but you won't find a swarm of them so often. I'm glad we still have them here in our country.

It's one of the most romantic rides ever... furthermore, with your loved ones and close friends with you.

About half an hour later, when the noise from the streets gradually being heard, we know that our ride has come to an end. Sigh... reality strikes back. We later then had a drink, at 2 places! hahaha... the first stop they didn't take our orders so after 10 minutes we decided to walk away and go to the next restaurant. The next one wasn't all that better though. So we hung out for awhile, ArabElly just couldn't take their eyes off......... the tv screen showing REMPIT THE MOVIE????? Come on, you guys..... hahahahaha...

And so we headed back to KL. I really didn't think that my trip to Sekinchan would be this interesting. Well, thanks to our sista Skin and her kampung neighbour Is for giving us the short tour ride. We're sure to go back there and check out other Fireflies Park. This time on a sampan! And probably with Biq! If Biq was with us, oh dear... havoc!
